June 4 – 8
Wow! Where did the year go? I can’t thank you enough for sharing your Kindergartner with me this year. It has been such a pleasure to be part of their journey! Here is snap shot of our week:
Countdown Fun: We had a lot of fun popping a balloon every day to see what fun was coming for the afternoon. We loved doing fun science experiments, having an ice cream treat with all of our Kindergarten friends, popcorn and movie day, sit anywhere day, and bubble gum day.
First Grade Classroom Visit: We got to visit Mrs. Stadt’s first grade classroom. The first graders told and showed us all around her classroom. It was fun to hear all about first grade! Thanks for letting us visit Mrs. Stadt!!
5th Grade Buddies: We love our 5th grade buddies!! They visited with us this week and celebrated our amazing sight word success. They made a celebration tunnel for us to run through. As we made our way to the end we collected a gold coin. Then we got to have a yummy popsicle treat and play together on our playground. Thank you to all of our 5th grade buddies for helping us all year through!! Good luck in 6th grade!!
Mystery Reader:
- On Tuesday Olivia was so excited to see her Mom walk through the door as our Mystery Reader! Mrs. Haase read us the book, First Grade, Here I Come! by D.J. Steinberg. We loved hearing this book! It got us all excited for first grade! Thank you for visiting with us Mrs. Haase!!
- Thursday Danielle was so surprised to see her big sister, Audrey, a 4th grader at Georgetown, walk through our door as a Mystery Reader. Audrey read us the book, Good Night, Good Knight by Shelley Moore Thomas. We loved this tale of the Good Knight who tirelessly helped put 3 dragons to sleep over and over again!
