6/3 – 6/7

We had a wonderful last week of school!  I cannot believe how fast this year went by.  Thank you for sharing your treasure with me!  It has been such a gift to be part of all of these amazing Kindergartners educational experience!!  I cannot wait to hear about all of the amazing adventures that these Kindergartners paths take. Wishing you all a fabulous summer!!

Day 1: Remembering all that we have learned this year!  The Kinders loved looking back at our very first Math, Reading and Writing work we did.  We did our first Math assignment of when we drew number scenes.  The Kinders loved seeing how far they have come as Math learners!  Then we looked at our first writing assignment of when we drew Matman.  The Kinders had fun drawing and labeling this again.  Also, drawing and labeling our blue carpet.  On our first day of school we read, Pete the Cat: Rocking in My School Shoes by Eric Litwin, then we found Pete the Cat in a scavenger hunt.  On Monday we reread this book and this time our class stuffed animal, Buttons, left us a note that sent us on a scavenger hunt looking for him.  We looked all over the school for Buttons with our 5th grade buddies.  Finally finding him on our playground slide!

Day 2:  Kindergarten Rocks!  We remembered how fun it was when we brought in our rock collections this year.  The Kinders loved painting our own rocks.

Day 3:  Our future is so bright we should wear shades!  We had fun picking out sunglasses to wear all day and did some fun writing craftivity.

Day 4:  Celebrating Friendships!  The Kinders had lots of fun remembering and celebrating their friends they made this year and talking about friends they will surely make in the future.  We loved making our kindergarten friendship bracelet.  We talked about the favorite color of each of our friends.  Then we added those beads to a pipe cleaner with the beads I (heart) K.  A keepsake of all the friends we have made.  We also enjoyed a fun ice cream treat with ALL of our Kindergarten classes together.

Day 5:  This year flew by!  We enjoyed lots of fun together on our last half day of Kindergarten!  The Kinders enjoyed some fun times together, signing their own beach ball keepsakes, making paper airplanes and flying them and enjoying a fun gift from Mrs. Stutz.

Mystery Readers:  Thank you to the cousins of Logan for being our last Mystery Readers of the year.  Maddie and Kaysie surprised Logan with a visit to read us the book, Cow Takes a Bow by Russell Punter and Fred Blunt.  Thank you for reading to us Maddie and Kaysie!!
